Subject	How long are clutches suppose to last on TT's

Message	My mechanic put in a clutch that lasted only 8 months and i never race or anything, but when he installed it would either slip or smell like it was burning at the begining. Should be he held accountable for it? He had to take the clutch in and out 3 times prior to yesterday because it smelt like it was burning or slipping then today he tells me I need a new clutch. Just looking for advice and opinions
